Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a small bowl, add the diced apple, half of the cinnamon, half of the brown sugar, and stir until combined, then transfer to a ramekin.
  3. In the same bowl, add the oats, flour, remaining cinnamon, and remaining brown sugar, and stir to combine. Add the cold butter and, using your fingers, press the butter into the oat mixture until well incorporated and the mixture is crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture on top of the apple mixture in the ramekin and then transfer to the oven to bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden and the apples are bubbling.
  5. Once baked, remove the ramekin from the oven, and serve with yogurt, ice cream, whipped cream, and/or extra cinnamon on top.

Notes

To Make it in the Microwave: Mix apple filling as per step #2, then microwave apple mixture for 1 minute. Make the oat mixture as per step #3, then sprinkle it on top of the warm apples, and return the ramekin to the microwave for an additional 2 minutes until the apples are bubbling and the topping is set.

To Make it in an Air-Fryer: Make the apple filling as per step #2, then place in the air-fryer at 350°F for 10 minutes until the apples are soft. Once cooked, remove the ramekin from the air-fryer. Make the oat mixture as per step #3, then sprinkle it on top of the cooked apples, and return to the air-fryer for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbling, crispy, and golden.
